The Promenade - Tramore, Co. Waterford

The site is situated in a clearly outstanding location by the ocean's edge at the end of the promenade in Tramore. this remarkable coastal location on the fringe of established town with a Long established coastal leisure location.

Our proposals resulting from the design analysis provided a slightly different approach to evaluating the sites development potential. Creating an exciting iconic mixed-use destination development worthy of this exceptional site.

The development appears from the distance a series of ship sails modeled on the design of the “aft” sail of a twin-masted “Brigantine” Boat.  These sail like elements adorn the elevation of the building, protecting seaward balconies from westerly winds whilst opening bedroom views to the south-east ocean beyond.  The use of this sail type motif we feel brings a sense of playfulness, eccentricity, and elegance to the subject development.

The design takes into consideration the Magnificent views of Tramore Bay and coastline the wonderful southerly orientation and the dramatic end vista at the end of the promenade.
